If you are subscribed to my newsletter, you must have received today’s e-mail with my tips on how to choose the right patterns for you. This is a topic that I discuss in detail in my first book ‘Sewing your dream wardrobe’ and as a pattern addict, it is very close to my heart. You know that one of my biggest problems during my first year in dressmaking was overwhelm (read all about it here) and I’m
embarrassed proud to say that I managed to create a decent collection of sewing patterns. You can imagine what this did to my bank account balance…
If you are like me, you will find this post extremely helpful. Because today I’m sharing with you a list of free patterns, which might save you some money and also give you the chance to discover some amazing pattern companies. Some of them might require for you to sign up to their e-mail list in order to get the pattern, but I think it’s a fair trade. I find these free gifts extremely valuable, because it’s always a bit weird when you try out a new pattern company and it gives you the chance to test out their blocks, their instructions etc. before you buy something else from them. Plus, most of there are very well drafted, judged by the comments I read in the sewing community.
