This blog post is actually long overdue, as I made my Florence dress back in the beginning of November. But anyway, I think it’s so beautiful and it deserves a place among my makes here in my virtual diary, so better late than never, right?
So, the Florence dress is a pattern that was released by Sew Over It last month, as part of their PDF club and of course I made it almost immediately! But to take the story from the beginning, I should first talk about the fabric.
This fabric was sent to me by Minerva Crafts in July and I spent months trying to figure out what to make with it! My original plan was to make an Elsie dress or a pleated skirt with a matching cami. I then though of making a Kimono or a pair of pyjamas. Then a shirt or a shirtdress… Long story short, I couldn’t make up my mind, until I actually had to, because it was time to use if form my Minerva Crafts Blogger Network post. I was really going back and forth, taking out all my patterns during an entire weekend and then the Florence dress came to my life! It was karma, I had to make it with this fabric!
And so I did and I won’t regret it! It turned out much better than I expected and I can’t wait to wear it out! Truth is, it’s a little bit lightweight for the kind of winter we are having in Northern Greece, so I’m afraid I’ll have to wait until spring but that’s ok!

I hope you like it!
